Steven Wilkie, Violinist

Born and bred in Edinburgh, Steven studied with Yossi Zivoni at the Royal Northern College of Music where he was awarded two Caird scholarships and the Joseph Bloch LRAM prize for ' Most Outstanding String Player'.

Steven is now established as one of the country's foremost violinists performing with among others, the Halle, BBC Philharmonic, Scottish Chamber Orchestra and as guest principal with the Philharmonia.and is a tutor of violin at the RNCM.

Chamber Music
Chamber music plays an important part in Steven's life,and he is a founder member of the Bartholdy piano trio performing the Beethoven triple concerto as part of the Buxton Festival. in 2002

Steven has played with pianist David Lloyd for over fifteen years.
They are in great demand and have performed a vast recital repertoire and travelled widely throughout the United Kingdom.

Steven is also leader and co-founder of Musicians Against Cancer who gave their first concert under their patron Sir Edward Downes.
